It has been really cold here in SW Virginia. Last week we took advantage of the freezing temps outside and made ice blocks. This is super easy and Max has asked to play with the ice blocks over and over. We used some baking pans, water and food coloring. This was a great Mommy School Activity. First we made a prior knowledge chart and Max extended the lesson by writing/drawing a book about ice. The hardest part is waiting on your water to freeze. It took about 2 hours at our house but the outside temperature was 9 degrees. Brrrr.
